It brings together, in one place, the public information that SSA and state agencies publish in separate files and pages: hearing office locations, average processing times, judge disposition data and state Disability Determination Services contacts.
We are not affiliated with the Social Security Administration or any state agency, we are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We do not collect Social Security numbers and we never ask for personal case information. To file an appeal or check the status of your case, use ssa.gov or call SSA.
Where the data comes from
- Hearing offices: SSA Office of Hearings Operations public information.
- Wait times: SSA's average processing time by hearing office report (FY 2026 through July 31, 2026).
- Judges: SSA ALJ disposition data, FY 2026 (September 27, 2025 – July 31, 2026). Names are shown exactly as SSA publishes them. FY 2026 is a partial year until SSA publishes the full-year file.
- DDS offices: official state agency websites and ssa.gov.
- Appeal rules: ssa.gov and the Code of Federal Regulations (20 CFR).
How we calculate
Approval rate = fully favorable + partially favorable decisions ÷ total decisions (favorable + unfavorable). Dismissals are excluded. Rates are not shown for judges with fewer than 20 decisions. Wait time is SSA's own average processing time, in days; months are days ÷ 30.4.
